Swiss Re

Working with the world's second largest reinsurer, Swiss Re, development commenced in July 2000. The project, SwiftRe.com, is the first full featured 'virtual' reinsurer on the web. The system supports an end to end solution for non-life commodity reinsurance, linking the web based client with its reinsurance provider via common, shared processes and data. The system - completely written in Java - uses state of the art technologies such as XML/XSL, a sophisticated database model and follows insurance industry data structure standards.

GFS

Swiss Re’s Global Facultative System (GFS) is the main development for the organization for 2004 – 2005. The goal is to create a worldwide functionality for front office underwriters. The system supports 2000 users, 600 of which can be simultaneously logged in. 150 concurrent actions are supported. Com Tec Co was involved in the full life cycle of development: initial design, incremental and iterative development of the production version, maintenance.

Software Maintenance

Com Tec Co is also a well skilled software maintenance partner. One of our major clients, a reinsurance group which can not be named due to contractual obligations turned to Com Tec Co after its software supplier could not continue development. The original application was near completion but there still much to be done.
